Dr Terence THET
Dr Terence received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the National University of Singapore (NUS). After graduation he spent 1 year serving the community in Jurong polyclinic before moving on to seeing paediatric patients in the School Dental Service. He then spent 2 years practicing advanced general dentistry at the National Dental Center (NDC) and National University Center for Oral Health (NUCOH).
Dr Terence is passionate about providing ethical, quality treatment to his patients. He enjoys having lively discussions with his patients on what the best treatment options are, and working together with them to give them the best treatment outcome possible. He also strongly believes that dental treatment need not be a stressful and unpleasant experience for patients and strives to make sure his patients are at ease when sitting on his dental chair.
Apart from work, Dr Terence is also passionate about travelling and hiking in exotic destinations and practicing his photography skills.
Dr Terence is fluent in english, mandarin and burmese.
Dr CHO Man Yang
Dr Cho graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at University of Otago, New Zealand with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). She actively participated in various community and hospital placements in different regions of New Zealand to seek a variety of experiences and insights in dentistry. She is passionate about providing general dental services to patients of all ages and empowers her patients with knowledge to achieve optimum oral health care.
Other than general dentistry, Dr Cho has special interests in orthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics and aesthetic dentistry. She ensures her patients be at ease during treatment with her caring and gentle demeanour. She actively participates in various continuing dental education and dental volunteer work overseas to enrich her knowledge and skills in different aspects of dentistry.
Dr Cho is licensed to practice in both Singapore and New Zealand. She is a member of the Singapore Dental Association, New Zealand Dental Association and Malaysia Dental Association.
Outside of work Dr Cho enjoys photography, cooking, dancing and traveling.
Dr Jeanette YAP
Dr Yap received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the National University of Singapore (NUS). She then went on to work for several years at NHG polyclinic, National Dental Centre, National University Centre for Oral Health Singapore, School Dental Service and Health Promotion Board. Apart from honing her skills in advanced general dentistry, prosthodontics, oral surgery and pediatric dental care, she also gained invaluable experience in treating patients of all ages with various dental needs. Dr Yap strongly believes in serving the community, and was an active participant in monthly dental screenings held to raise awareness of dental health. She is a member of the Singapore Dental Association and the College of General Dental Practitioners.
Dr Yap greatly enjoys treating patients from all walks of life. She believes that dentistry does not have to be a painful or scary experience, and is happy to work with patients to overcome their fear. Apart from general dentistry, she has a special interest in oral surgery, dental implantology, prosthodontics and aesthetic dentistry, and regularly attends conferences and workshops in order to perfect her skills.
Outside of dentistry, Dr Yap has many creative pursuits including calligraphy, painting and drawing. She also loves to enrich her mind with reading good books and strengthening the body with the regular practice of yoga.
Dr Sara TAN
Dr Sara received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide in South Australia. She trained rigorously in various Oral Surgery rotations post-graduation and worked in several dental hospitals before joining the Shang Dental team. Known for her friendly and cheerful demeanor, she aims to make every dental visit a pleasant and educational experience for her patients.
She enjoys most aspects of general dentistry with special interests in aesthetic dentistry, oral surgery and implant dentistry. Like everyone else in our dental team, Dr Sara strongly believes in lifelong learning, and regularly attends courses in order to further her knowledge and clinical skills. Dr Sara is proficient in English, Mandarin, Malay and Teochew and can communicate effectively with patients from various backgrounds.
Apart from being a dedicated dentist, Dr Sara enjoys travelling, cooking and scuba diving.
Dr SEOW Hong Kai
Dr Seow obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the National University of Singapore (NUS). As a recipient of several academic awards during his undergraduate years, Dr Seow was frequently placed on the Dean’s List, and was even awarded the bronze medal for research in the GC Prevention Table Clinic Competition.
Dr Seow spent several years in public service, serving the community at the National Healthcare Group of Polyclinics (NHGP), before venturing to National Dental Centre (NDC) to complete a posting in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery. He subsequently practised advanced general dentistry at National University Hospital (NUH) and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH), and also served as a Dental Officer with the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).
Patients connect well with Dr Seow’s gentle and thorough approach as he pursues consistent excellence in dental treatment, making their dental visit a comfortable and fulfilling experience.
A regular attendee of dental conferences, Dr Seow keeps himself abreast with the latest advancements in dentistry, and has developed a keen interest in aesthetic dentistry and oral surgery, including wisdom teeth removal and dental implants.
Dr TEOW Wan Wah
Dr Teow Wan Wah obtained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from The National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2007. As a dental officer, she had postings in the School Dental Services and Polyclinics where she primarily managed patients presenting with poor oral hygiene and high tooth decay rates, using various behaviour modifying strategies and evidence based therapies to improve their dental well being. She is experienced in general dentistry and relishes seeing the whole family, kids and seniors alike. Dr Teow currently practices at Shang Dental and prides herself on providing general dentistry with a soft and sincere touch.
Outside of work, Dr Teow is a mother to 2 lovely kids and thinks one of the greatest joys in life is spending time with her family and loved ones.
Dr Jeremy SIM
Dr Jeremy Sim graduated from the National University Of Singapore in 2016 from the Faculty of Dentistry.
He has a keen focus in orthodontics. As much as possible, Dr Sim takes a non-extraction approach to aligning teeth, utilizing both standard braces as well as clear aligners to help patients achieve their goals.
He also practices interventional orthodontics for children, catching developmental issues with the face, jaws and teeth young, to help your young ones grow right.
He believes in listening first, and doing later; prioritizing the concerns of patients before any treatment is carried out.
He is the Editor in Chief for the Singapore Dental Association and is a lecturer at the Institute of Technical Education dental assistantship NITEC.
He has a cat named Ginge. Ginge adopted Dr Sim almost a decade ago and has been his feline compadre ever since.

Dr LOW Yi Han [Periodontist / Gum Surgery Specialist]
Dr Low Yi Han obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from The National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2005. After 3 years of general practice comprising of hospital & community dentistry, he went on to pursue his post-graduate training in Periodontology and graduated with a Master of Dental Surgery degree in 2011. In the same year, he obtained his fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (United Kingdom). In 2013, he received the certificate of Specialist Registration with Singapore Dental Council as a Periodontist.
Dr Low provides a comprehensive range of non-surgical and surgical periodontal therapy as well as dental implant procedures with special interest in regenerative periodontics.
Outside clinical practice, he was involved in NUS undergraduate teaching and was an adjunct lecturer at Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) for the oral health therapist programme.
Dr KOOI Jun Ming Terence [Braces Dentist]
Dr. Terence Kooi graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. He strives to always improve his skills and expertise to ensure more well-rounded holistic care. He has attended courses with training such as orthodontics, gum treatment, implants and porcelain veneers. Due to his special interest in orthodontics, he completed a comprehensive orthodontic programme conducted by the College of General Dental Practitioners in Singapore and is also a certified Invisalign provider.
Dr. Terence is compassionate and has genuine care for his patients. He invests time in oral health education, as he firmly believes that it is the key to empower patients in maintaining oral health and restoring their bright, confident smile.
